The publication summarises the findings from the period when anatomically modern humans predominated over local Neanderthals. This process is studied in a broader Eurasian context with a focus on the territory of Moravia with a high density of systematically excavated archaeological sites from the initial phase of the Upper Paleolithic. The information gathered over the last few decades has to date only been published fragmentarily in a number of journals and books. Therefore, the author aims to provide all the available information to the reader in one place and in English. The conclusion of the book proposes a hypothetical cultural evolutionary model based on current knowledge.
