The first CRAFTs in Antiquity conference takes place in Brno from 4 to 6 November 2026. Hosted by the Institute of Archaeology of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Brno, the conference brings together researchers and craftspeople to explore craft production in Europe and the Mediterranean between approximately 1000 BCE and 1000 CE. This Book of Abstracts presents papers, posters and craft demonstrations examining ancient materials, tools and techniques. The contributions connect academic research with practical experience to deepen our understanding of ancient crafts and the people who practised them.
