The abstract book of the 45th international conference Issues of the Neolithic and Eneolithic 2026, held in Bítov, presents new archaeological discoveries and research findings from Central Europe. The contributions examine the character and organisation of prehistoric settlements and households, burial practices, research into Neolithic rondel enclosures, and the extraction, production and distribution of stone raw materials. They also show what scientific methods can reveal about the lives of people in the past. The publication includes the conference programme, abstracts of papers and posters, and an illustrated guide to an excursion visiting significant Neolithic and Eneolithic archaeological sites around the Vranov Reservoir and in the Znojmo region.
