Child inhumation burials in vessels represent a rare yet significant funerary practice in the Bronze Age in Moravia. Their origins may be traced to the Aegean or Anatolian regions, from which this custom spread via the Balkans and the Carpathian Basin into Central Europe. In Moravia, it occurs primarily in the Early Bronze Age and only sporadically persists into its middle and late phases. The publication offers a detailed evaluation of the Moravian finds and compares them with parallels from across Central Europe and from the presumed areas of origin. The volume includes a comprehensive catalogue of Moravian vessel burials with drawn and photographic documentation, as well as an overview of Central European finds and their cartographic distribution. Five concise anthropological reports supplement the archaeological analysis.
